X̲áːytem, or Hatzic Rock, is a site of cultural, historical, and spiritual importance to the Stó:lō people. This site, which is also a National Historic Site of Canada, is open to visitors during select days for the "Stó:lō Tourism's Cultural Experience Summer Series'.

X̲áːytem is home to an archaeological pithouse which is one of the oldest in Canada at 6000 years old, as well as to a Transformer stone. According to Stó:lō tradition, the Transformer stone was formed when three chiefs were turned into rock by Xexá:ls, the Transformers. You can learn more about the story of this stone, the pithouse, and the Stó:lō people when you visit the X̲áːytem National Historic Site.

Don't forget to take a walk through the Longhouse Interpretive Centre and carving shed while you're there.
