Hayward Lake

A popular local swimming hole that offers an array of outdoor recreation in all seasons.

Hayward Lake

This beautiful lake offers an array of outdoor recreation for all seasons. Popular for its sandy beach and swimming in the warm summer months, or for non-motorized boating making it ideal for Kayaking and canoeing year-round (note electric boats are allowed but must be carried to the water as no trailers are allowed at the launch area).

Have a pup? Don’t forget to bring them too! With a specialized dog-friendly beach area, you are sure to make a splash and enjoy a fantastic summer spot together.

Want to enjoy Hayward Lake the rest of the year? Extend your season with the available trails and walks.

As you head into Mission drop by Energy Wisdom and Tea Lounge for your drinks and snacks.

As a BC Hydro lake, you can make a full day of it and stop into the Powerhouse at Stave Falls which is situated at the north of the lake - this tells the story of the dam and its creation for hydro-electrical power.
