Devil's Lake Loop Trail

Located in the Stave West Recreation Area, the Devil's Lake loop trail is a 3.1km hike through the forest that features a floating bridge which takes you across the south-end of Devil's Lake. From the parking spots on the side of Florence Lake Forest Service Road, just 5km north of Stave Dam, you'll find a flight of wooden stairs to descend down leading into the lush green forest encompassing the area. Depending on which way you go, you'll come across the floating bridge either at the end or beginning of the trail and experience the clear, scenic view of the lake and forestry from the water.

The hike is moderate in difficulty as it does have some rocky areas, wooden planks, and mud to cross over so ensure you have proper footwear! The loop trail also allows beach access in various areas along the water's edge and will see the first interpretive signs installed this fall along 1km of the trail.
