2. Catch the West Coast Express for the Celebration of Light

Translink is running a special West Coast Express train on July 30th for the Celebration of Light firework show in Vancouver. You can catch the train from Mission City Station at 7pm and arrive to Waterfront at 8:15pm. Once you're finished watching the show you can take the train back to Mission City Station! The West Coast Express will begin boarding from Waterfront at 11pm and is departing at midnight.

3. Take a Dip

Hayward Lake is a popular choice for swimming here in Mission, however, did you know Mission has 12 different lakes to choose from? So if you are looking for a new place to take that iconic summer swim, make sure to check out some of the other lakes Mission has to offer!

Note: While the summer temperatures are quite hot, the lakes tend to stay pretty cold throughout the season. Even in the heat, cold-water immersion can be dangerous. Prepare accordingly and check out our blog on summer heat/water safety tips.
