Rising up from the Fraser River and into the foothills of the Coast Mountain Range, Mission offers an awe-inspiring vantage point of the Fraser Valley. The abundance of our rivers, lakes and lands serve as a constant reminder of our deep-rooted history.
Thriving outdoors rain or shine, fishing the great white sturgeon, mountain bike trailblazing, hiking to the soundtrack of a rumbling waterfall and the call of the raven; we continue to learn from the Stó:lō peoples and Indigenous communities on the connection and significance of this land and how it has shaped important cultures and traditions.
A growing city that values its diversity and community. We’ll take any excuse to celebrate, whether it’s through our festivals, gathering places or our local stores. With distinct eateries, bars and theatres, often including local entertainment, come for the day and stay for a while, to immerse yourself in the place that we call home.
Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival
Celebrate the bio-diversity of the Fraser Valley viewing eagles and salmon in their natural habitat. Viewing stations will be at key locations, with information, naturalist talks, river cruises and family fun activities.
Smoke, Fire and Thunder
The jet cars are coming! Hold onto your eardrums as jet cars, wheelstanders, Hot Rods and NHRA racing get your heart pumping. Camping available on site if you come for the weekend.
Mission Folk Music Festival
A family friendly weekend where you can camp on the grounds. Musical entertainment includes everything from celtic, country and folk to blues, cuban son and latin grooves – take your pick we guarantee your toes will be tapping.
Canada Day
Celebrate Canada’s birthday in style by joining our free celebrations and having your face painted, watching a logging or dog agility show, eating great food…not forgetting the birthday cake! Come back for the fireworks at Mission Raceway Park, going off with a bang at 10pm.
